Qualified as a tutor of lipreading to adults at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh in 1995.

Experience:

Member of ATLA since 1995, and Scottish representative to ATLA Committee since 2000.
Member of the Management Committee and a core tutor of the Scottish Course to train Tutors of Lipreading to Adults.
Former Social Worker with Deaf People.

Ex-officio committee members are members of the Committee by virtue of a post which they have been appointed to by the Committee.

The Committee tries to fill these posts from amongst the members of the Committee, but where no Committee member has the relevant skills, then a full member of ATLA may be appointed to the post.
