ATLA membership is intended for qualified teachers of lipreading only. Membership is not open to the general public. Subscriptions are due 1st April. Late subscriptions will be subject to a surcharge of £5.00. The membership fees from 1st April 2006 are: Full members are those who hold an ATLA approved Lipreading Teacher Training qualification. Overseas lipreading teachers may ask ATLA to consider their qualifications for approval for membership. Student members are those who are currently on an ATLA approved Lipreading Teacher Training Course. Retired members are members who are not currently working as a lipreading teacher. Affiliated members are organisations working in the field of deafness. Overseas members are asked to make an additional contribution to postage: Payment in UK pounds sterling only please. Cheques should be made payable to ATLA Membership formsMore details about membership can be obtained by writing to ATLA at the ATLA address, or by email. You can also download a membership form and return it to the main ATLA address with payment, or email it to the Membership Secretary and pay by standing order or online bank transfer (see below). Paying for your membershipMembership fees are due on 1st April each year and can be paid by cheque or standing order.
Cheques should be made payable to 'The Association of Teachers of Lipreading to Adults' and sent to the main ATLA postal address. Standing order forms are available online and should be sent direct to your bank NOT returned to ATLA. Online bank transfer can also be used to transfer money direct from your bank account to the ATLA bank account if you have online banking. To do this you will need the following details: Increase the value of your membership at no cost to yourself!
ATLA is a registered charity and as such we can reclaim the tax you paid on the money used to pay your membership fee. Please help us by completing and returning a Gift Aid form - this means that we can keep our membership fees lower that we would otherwise have to.
